Hands
Written in Austria in the 15th cent, in a fine set cursive hand.
Binding
Binding, late 15th cent, in puce dyed leather on bevelled wooden boards with corner bosses (2 missing); clasps on lower cover; lined tooling with triple fillets; plaited headbands. A small rectangular piece has been cut out of the upper cover.
Provenance
Formerly no. 313 in the library of Admont abbey (see book stamp of the library on fol. 2; paper label on spine and 15th–cent. description pasted inside front cover).
Sold by Admont in or after 1934 to L. and A. Brecher of Brünn (Möser–Mersky, op. cit., p. 9).
Bought by Lyell in January 1941 from Davis and Orioli: see their Cat. 78 no. 2; 93 no. 53.
