'Christ Church hand on fols. iii recto, iv recto, 1r–51r, 61r–66r, 71r–; continental hand on fols. 67r–71r. Numerous Canterbury marks in the margins. Fols. 1r–51r are probably in the same hand as Campbell Ch. xxi. 6 (A. D. 1123).' (MLGB)

Decoration

Fine and good initials. (Pächt and Alexander iii. 94, pl. IX)

Binding

Stamped leather on boards, clasp lost, Canterbury work of 1508. In a green baize cover. There are remains of a chain fastening.

Acquisition

Presented by Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Colfe in 1616.

Provenance

Christ Church, Canterbury: no. 88 in dr. James's Ancient Libraries of Canterbury (1903) and no. 124 in the Canterbury binding list of 1508 (ibid., p. 157).
