This volume, together wit.h two others containing the Lives of Wiclif and Fisher, was purchased by Sir Peter Thompson at the sale of Lewis's MSS. for £6 16s 6d.; and appears (from the prefatory notice in the Clarendon edition) to have been obtained by the Delegates of the University Press from Mr. W. Clarke, a London bookseller, at the same time as the Life of Wiclif, which had been bought by him at the sale of Sir P. Thompson's library.
Acquisition
In 1827 the volume was transferred to the Bodleian Library at the price of £8 8s.
