Summary
Account of sums received and paid by the court of Tenures, Wards and Liveries in the year 1616; containing the particulars of the receipts of the feodaries of the various counties, of the wardships, rates, liveries, compositions upon concealment, fines for license of marriage and for leases; with the fees and allowances of William lord Knollys, master of the court, and of his officers, the exhibitions of the wards, and other payments.
At fol. 142 is a copy of a letter, without signature or date, expostulating with a protestant clergyman to whom it is written on his violent language against the church of Rome, and his identifying papal Rome with the city spoken of in Isaiah i. and Rev. xvii.
