This is an argument on the side of Magdalen college in the matter of its right to appoint a principal of Magdalen hall--a question which came to a head when a vacancy occurred in Feb. 1693/4 . A trial in the Court of Common Pleas at Westminster on June 20, 1694, was decided in favour of the right of the Chancellor of the University.
