i (17th cent.) + 110 + i (17th cent.) leaves The margins trimmed (affecting a few marginalia and (presumably) one quire signature).
Hands
Carolingian minuscule, s. ix2/3, presumably by a single hand, belonging to the Gozbald group.
Decoration
(fol. 1r) Five-line initial in the ink of the text, outlined on both sides with a thin decorative lobed line, each lobe dotted (cf. Pächt & Alexander (1. 21): s. ix2); a colour stain (bright red) on the inside; otherwise simple one- or two-line scribal initials to (if used) prologues, and major textual units.
Binding
Brown tanned calf over laminated pulpboard for Abp. Laud, 1637–1639.
Acquisition
Given to the Bodleian as part of his third donation, dispatched on 28 June 1639.
