18th century, second half, Italian, Venice, a standard Canonici style: pasteboards; lightish-brown diced leather, blind and gilt lines and rolls round edges, spine with gilt lines and gilt red-leather label, marbled endleaves. 148–150 104 c. 80 (book closed).
Traces of previous binding(s): edges painted with red and green swirls, ?16th century, with ghosts of two broad straps; front flyleaf (fol. 1) shows marks of two clasps and (probably) four corner-bosses.
