The film shows Canon Richard Milford in the library of St. Mary's Church, Oxford, where the first meeting of the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief was held in 1942, talking with Malcolm Harper about Oxfam's beginnings. Mention is made of Sir Gilbert and Lady Mary Murray, Nowell Smith, Leo Liepmann, Henry Moxley, Henry Gillett, Cecil Jackson-Cole, Leslie Kirkley, Robert Castle, Victor Gollancz and Stella Dyer.
