Memoranda and notes, some printed, but chiefly written by Edmund Malone (d. 1812), of which fols. 1-102 are generally about Alexander Pope's life and writings.

From fol. 103 on they relate to literary persons of the 18th century, especially such as were members of the Literary Club:

(fol. 103). List of members, 1764-1801;

(fol. 104). Notes about dr. Samuel Johnson;

(fol. 113). Elegy on sir J. Reynolds, beg. 'Farewell, farewell';

(fol. 116). Poem by E. Settle, beg. 'When to the great';

(fol. 118). Poem by Geo. Canning, beg. 'What various pangs', etc.

(fols. 120-end) are blank
