Followed by recipes for a plaster and an ointment, after which the explicit is repeated.

Written in a current text hand probably in Italy, to judge from the parchment, in the early 13th cent.

Binding

Binding of c. 1500 in wooden boards covered with rough white leather. Title written on the front cover in a contemporary hand.

Provenance

Formerly no. 355 in the library of the abbey of Admont, Austria (paper label on spine, and 19th-cent. description in German pasted inside front cover). Identifiable in the 1376 catalogue: Item divisiones egritudinum incipit Ventilatus, and in the 1380 catalogue: Item divisiones egritudinum Abubet incipit Ventilatum fuit (ed. G. Moser-Mersky, Mittelalt. Bibl.kat. Oesterreichs ui, 1961, pp. 34 1. i, 59 1. 26).

Sold by Admont in or after 1934 to L. and A. Brecher of Brünn (Moser-Mersky, op. cit., p. 9).

Bought by Lyell in February 1941 from Davis and Orioli: see their Cat. 93, no. 177.
