Summary

Beg. 'Maintes gens dient': ends 'je mesueille': then follow after the space of a line 28 (not 24) more lines, beg. 'Et puis que je fu esueillie', end 'Pour ce quil ont voir descouuert.' At fol. 168 follows the Testament of Jean de Meung, beg. 'Li Perez & li Filz', ends, on the recto of a page, 'Cuer rent a Dieu lez amez, cuer rent a D[ieu] lez corps' (p. 77 of vol. iv. of Meon's edition). On the verso is only 'Cest present liure nomme le Roman de la Rose ou lart damour . est tout enclose appartient . a honnorable homme Gieuffroy . Wut**on ainsi se nomme escuier. grenetier du Mayne. prions la Vierge ...' (end of 15th cent. ?).

The binding bears the arms of Maria Augusta von Sulzbach, wife of Karl Philip Theodor von Sulzbach (she d. about A.D. 1765).
