'A Register of marriages, christnings, and burials, in St. John Baptists parish in Oxford, collected and continued by me Anth. à Wood a Native of the said parish, for mine owne proper use & occasions': this is a copy, with additions, of a register made by Wood for Merton College in 1662-85, and written by him on parchment (now no. 11747). This interesting volume contains:

The parchment register differs in various points from this copy, and has entries as late as 1686.

'Liber Antonij à Wood. Oxon. 1675', with Wood's bookplate as MS. Wood E. 32: 'G. P. Bisse 1735': there is a fragment of a printed slip apparently showing that G. P. Bisse presented the volume in or after 1748 (and before 1769), it having been given him by his father, dr. James Bisse; see MS. Wood E. 32: there is a somewhat similar printed slip of 1737 in Wood 660 Ra.
