Summary

F.26-F.31: 8th Italian National Congress of Chemotherapy held by the Società Italiana di Chemioterapia (Italian Society of Chemotherapy), Sardinia, 8-[?9 or 10] May 1970. Abraham was invited to give the opening lecture in a session on cephalosporins. Includes correspondence regarding arrangements and arising, a 12pp typescript draft of the lecture 'Reflections on the Development of the Cephalosporins', with corrections and revisions, a copy of the typescript of the lecture in Italian, a copy of the typescript of edited version with related photographs of chemical structures, and a copy of the galley proof with enclosing letter to Abraham.

Includes correspondence regarding arrangements and arising, 2pp copy of the typescript abstract of the lecture, an 11pp incomplete typescript draft of the lecture, with manuscript corrections, and a 20pp typescript draft, with manuscript corrections and revisions, entitled 'Penicillins, Cephalosporins and the Biosynthesis of Peptide Antibiotics by Fungi', by Abraham and Patricia Fawcett.
