Summary

Claim forms, supporting documents and correspondence relating to compensation claims made by Anneliese Braun as legal heir of Gerhard Braun. Most correspondence with authorities and lawyers was made by Konrad Braun on behalf of Anneliese.

Folder 1: Anneliese Braun's German widow's pension. Correspondence relating to Anneliese Braun's 'Hinterbliebenenrente', 1964-1973. Includes some notices of pension payments and payment slips.

Folder 2: 'Bundesversicherungsanstalt für Angestellte - Entschädigungsrente'. Correspondence with German lawyers and Federal Insurance Institution For Employees relating to compensation pension for Anneliese Braun on behalf of Gerhard Braun, 1962-1966. Includes information about Gerhard Braun's professional career and his contributions to pension funds 1921-1933.

Folder 3: 'Anneliese Braun Entsch.-F. Lift nach Hamburg (erledigt)'. Correspondence with German lawyers and Landgericht (district court) Hamburg relating to compensation for the Brauns' relocation goods confiscated at Freihafen Hamburg in 1941, 1954-1960. Includes information/ lists about the contents of the shipping container (Lift) and the value of the relocation goods (furniture, household effects and medical practice equipment).

Folder 4: 'Anneliese Braun Berliner Bank A.G.' and 'Anneliese Braun Commerzbank AG and Berliner Commerzbank AG'. Correspondence, account statements and receipts relating to compensation payments and pensions paid into Anneliese Braun's German bank accounts, and transfers to English bank accounts, 1954-1976.

Folder 5: 'Ruth Braun'. Correspondence relating to compensation claims on behalf of Ruth Braun, mainly regarding the interruption of her school career ('Erziehungsschaden'), 1956-1959.
