Transcriptum, manu Thomæ Hearne, "ex volumine quodam collectionum Laurentii Nowell (propria ipsius manu scripto) penes Thomam Lambardum de Sevenoke in agro Cantiano, armig., A.D. mdccxxvi., fol. 89a."
In folio ad init. rejectaneo hanc notam præfixit Hearne: "When I first saw Mr. Lambard's MS. from whence I transcrib'd this thing, I thought it had been extracted from some MS. of Mat. Paris's account as printed in Dr. Wats's ed. But I find that Laurence Nowell follow'd another account, which as 'tis much more concise than that in Wats, so 'tis indeed different, and Dr. Wats does not seem to have seen the MS. that Nowell made use of."
