Summary
The objects of the expedition were studies of ecology and conservation, ornithology and bird photography. It was led by Guy Mountfort; Nicholson was Deputy Leader and Ecologist; other members of the party were Sir Julian Huxley and Eric Hosking.
Typescript of [?introduction] to the expedition report, apparently written for the Jordanian Government; typescript paper by Nicholson titled 'Conservation and Economic Development', prepared for a meeting arranged by the UN Special Fund, New York, 18 Nov 1963 (it was hoped that the meeting would discuss national parks in Jordan); brief later correspondence regarding Jordanian National Parks (1976, 2001).
