Summary
Krause was a retired school teacher from Oberschöneweide. The correspondence is frequent and detailed, with news of old friends, family, school days etc. Includes photographs of Peierls's mother's grave and of the Realgymnasium which he attended, and also letter from Lotte Augustin, daughter of the Peierls family's gardener. Peierls visited Krause in 1990 but Lotte had died before his visit. They corresponded regularly to the last; her last card is dated August 1995.
