Contents of an envelope inscribed 'Coto Donana 1957'. Contains a typescript draft with manuscript revisions by an unknown hand.

Nicholson took part in the important 1957 expedition which included visits to other locations in Spain, April-June 1957 (Coto Donana visit was during May). He was responsible for sound recording and field work. The expedition documented the ecological significance of the Coto Donana and paved the way for the establishment of the various subsequent conservation programmes. It was led by Guy Mountfort and also included J.S. Huxley, E. Hosking, I.J. Ferguson-Lees and P.A.D. Hollom.
