Press cuttings, correspondence, mostly from Michael Scott, Lord Hemingford [Dennis George Ruddock Herbert] and Mary Benson, reports, minutes and memoranda. Subjects include apartheid (including the Bantu Education Act), South West Africa, the Central African Federation, Bechuanaland, Kenya and the Mau Mau Uprising, and the foundation of the Africa Bureau. Also includes copy of a letter to US President [Dwight Eisenhower], sermon, statement to the United Nations and articles by Michael Scott regarding South Africa, pamphlet Shadow Over Africa by Michael Scott, United Nations reports on South West Africa and apartheid, letter from Mutesa II of Buganda.
