Summary
The group first met in March 1965, 'to review education policy in general and in particular to seek better methods of fitting school and university leavers into appropriate jobs and, conversely, of opening up new jobs in industry to make the maximum use of the available talent.'
Sub-group on Local Government Structure of Further Education Terms of reference: '… to look at the whole structure organisation of Further Education, and to see whether each Local Education Authority should remain nominally responsible for the provision of Further Education in its area.'
Members included Edward Boyle, Peter Emery, Richard Hornby, John Maitland, Charles Morrison, W.R. van Straubenzee, Anthony Greenland, M.P. Birley, Joyce Bishop, Adrian Bridgewater, W. Higgins, Gareth Jones, H.E. Roff, Nicholas Scott.
