Summary
Collection of typescripts or carbons, some lightly revised, of literary essays and broadcasts from the 1940s and 1950s, including a proposal for a magazine [ Encounter]. A Spender article on Literary Life includes a covering letter to Spender from Britain To-day, 20 Jan. 1949. A galley print includes a covering letter from The London Magazine, 25 Feb 1957. Plus later essays on Henry Moore, Muriel Gardiner, and a review of Quiet Moments In A War, c. 1994-1995, and miscellaneous fragmentary essays. All in order as found.
