Summary
This manuscript, as stated by Joseph Warren, to whom it belonged, and also by Sir Frederick Ouseley, is undoubtedly in the hand of Henry Purcell. Warren states that it was probably used by Purcell at the funeral of Charles II. The original black paper binding, in which it is still covered, adds evidence to Warren's conjecture. However, the manuscript is not now considered by good authorities to be in Purcell's hand.
