Provenance
Written in Paris in 1340–1: colophons, fols. 183v, 229v; style of decoration. The volume is in three sections (fols. 1–123, 125–83, 183–235), the first and last covered by the colophon on fol. 229v, the second by the colophon on 183v.
Written for the abbey of Eberbach at the expense of William, monk of the Abbey, colophon, f. 183v: Anno domini mº cºcºcº xliº. Liber iste scriptus et completus est ob reuerenciam et honorem intemerate virginis Marie. necnon monasterij Ebirbacensis. ac monachorum inibi commorancium vtilitatem euidentem mediantibus laboribus et expensis fratris wilhelmi dicti monasterii monachi ac professi. scolaris. parisiensis. sub annis dominice incarnacionis supra scriptis In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti: Amen: Qui me scribebat (id est scribi procurabat) Wilhelmus nomen habebat.
