Summary
Unfortunately the names of almost all the persons mentioned are expressed only by initials, and no dates are given; but on fol. 1 is part of an order to the agents of the Earl of Desmond to pay 20s. Irish upon every tun of wine received for prisage under a patent to the Lord Admiral for the term of seven years, a former grant for nine years and a half from 25 Sep 1612 having expired 25 Mar last; and at fol. 56b one letter is dated 28 Oct 1623.
