A. P. 1. A poem on the creation of the world, based upon the book of Genesis, in Latin hexameters with a marginal paraphrase, beg. 'Omnia disponens nusquam metam sibi ponens'. At p. ix is an auto-graph English translation of the prologue, beg. 'O boundlesse thou', by Sir Henry Spelman, dated Sept. 5, 1616.
B. P. 569. Augustine 'de imagine dei', beg. 'Tanta dignitas humane condicionis'.

Page 1 (cf. p. 568) has 'Liber Henrici Spelman quondam Roberti Hare 1566', and p. iv 'Liber Tho: Barlow Coll. Reg. S[ocii] ex dono viri et amici integerrimi domini Clementis Spelman Henrici τοῦ μɑκɑρίτου filii et scacarii seu fisci regis baronis'. Barlow has also inserted a note on 'The much fam'd poem of du Bartas' (p. v), and added the date, apparently of acquisition, July 22, 1659 (p. vii). 'R. Fanshawe' is on p. v.
