Acquisition

Bought for £2 10s at Sotheby's on 20-21 June 1860, lot 254, along with eight other manuscripts'formerly in the archives of two princely Roman families'

Provenance

Fol. i verso: 'Nicolaus maior et minor [i.e. 'Antidotarium magnum et parvum'] magistri Simonis Cinozi (?) de Florentia | fl. 3 [then, added] et autor qui dicitur larugerina pratica bona'. Magister Simon Cinozi (?) (14th or 15th century) seems to have owned the whole manuscript

A series of numbers, 'no. 26', no. '27' and no. '29' (18th century) refer to a library (label on the spine)
