Summary
Made up of four MSS., comprising:
(fol. 1) (French, late 15th cent., in double columns) Leaves from a finely illuminated MS. of the romance of Gyron le Courtois by Hélie de Borron, numbered i, xxxvi, lxviii, lxx, lxxxvi, xcv, c, cxvii, cxviii, cxxxiv, cxlii, clx, clxxviii, cxcii, cxcviii, ccxxxiv, i ('Icy commence le quart volume de Guiron le courtois ...'). The arms on fols. 1, 17 are Nassau and Vianden quartered, and point to Engelbrecht count of Nassau (d. 1504). The leaves were selected for the miniatures they bear.
(fol. 19) (Latin, 15th cent., in double columns) Leaves from a Collectar, containing the chapters and collects of the Hour Services, antiphons with music, etc.
(fol. 41) (Latin, about A.D. 1400) A calendar from a volume written for 'Johannes Fyschere . qui fecit fieri hunc librum . & dedit ecclesie beate Marie de Nottele' (obit, Sept. 9). The obits are recorded of 'abbas Nicolaus [Amcotes?]', Apr. 18; 'abbas Thomas', Apr. 25; 'Ermengardis comitissa fundatrix nostra', May 13; 'Walter Gyffard [dux Buckinghamiae] fundator noster', Sept. 17; 'Dedicacio ecclesie beate Marie de Nottele', Oct. 20. There are also many notes of births (with sponsors' names) of the family of Pygott, 1541-52.
(fol. 47) (Latin, written in A.D. 1338 at Pisa, in double columns) Fragment (Usura-end) of a law dictionary (Repertorium utriusque juris) with two 'Questiones' and part of the Index. ' Consummatum fuit hoc opus in ciuitate Pisana anno Domini M°.ccc°.xxx°.viii°. mense Decembris ...'.
