Correspondence of the Opies with The Clarendon Press (later Oxford University Press) about publishing projects, book production, publicity and sales, royalties, reprints and licences, and administrative, financial and legal matters. Also includes papers relating to a possible transfer of the Opie's collection of children's books to Oxford:

Folder 1: 1982-1988, including A Dictionary of Superstitions, The Singing Game, a projected book on playground games, and a projected companion to childhood.

Folder 2: Correspondence with supporting papers, with Oxford University Press and later with the Bodleian Library relating to a possible transfer of the Opie's collection of children's books to Oxford, c.1978-1982.
