Summary
A look at Oxfam's work and the needs of African people and what can be done to help them help themselves. The film aims to demonstrate what is meant by the term 'development', and the need for long term development. Footage of Oxfam's work overseas refers to a mobile fishing tackle shop in Dahomey (later Benin), mobile animal husbandry teams in Botswana, the Ghana Society for the Blind, the African Flying Doctor Service, Kenya, and the Mauritius Family Planning Association. The film includes comments from Chris Howse and Bill Jackson, Oxfam Field Directors. A Viewpoint Production for Oxfam.
