Decoration

Rubrication: titles, initials (occasionally zoomorphic) and penwork headings in vermilion, bistre and blue; lemmata marked in same colours. On fols. 254v, 260r, 267r, 273r, 283r, 295r, 301r the scribe drew with a compass two concentric semi-circles at the right of the page and left the space within blank, on both recto and verso.

Binding

Binding of vellum over boards, late 18th cent.; quires strengthened by earlier binder with paper strips from Latin and Greek books, the latter perhaps liturgical. Fore-edges painted blue.

Fol. 310v ἐγὼ πάπαϲ Δημήτριοϲ ὁ ἐπιϲκόπουλοϲ ἀγόραϲα ἐτοῦτον τὸ βιβλίον ἀπὸ τὸν μακαρίτην τὸν πατέραν τοῦ τζαμάντουα̣ϲ̣ (last word in different ink), 15th cent.
