On fol. 111 is a Latin letter of A.D. 1561, with a nearly erased subscription, beg. 'Qualis et quanta sit nostra calamitas', and on fol. 112, 'Nomina militium qui interfuerunt predito festo et solemnitatj celebrate per ditum dominum Canem Grandem in ciuitate Verona postquam factus fuit dominus generalis Padue' (A.D. 1328?), a 16th century copy. Fol. 1 is a fly-leaf from a 14th cent. book of Latin epigrams, written in Italy.
'Hoc libro olim eram usus in bibliotheca Cardinalis Mazarini, qua postmodum direpta in Sueciam fuit devectus ad Reginam [Christinam], quæ eo cum aliis me donavit', note by N. Heinsius. In the Heinsius sale catalogue, tom. ii. p. 87, this volume is no. 328.
