Custodial history

Bound for a family bearing the arms, a lion rampant between five martlets (and motto Semper in allum), which are on the sides and back (Rignac?): with armorial bookplates of 'Charles de Bachi Marquis d'Aubais' (d. about 1770), in whose library this was 'MS. 29' (see back), and Philippe Laurent de Joubert (d. 1792). In Thorpe's Catal. of MSS. for 1835, no 132, priced £2 2s.
