Binding
15th century, Italian(contemporary with the manuscript): wood boards; hard red polished leather, cuir ciselé, each cover incised with a different section of the same bold repeating pattern, of flowers and leaves set in a large vase (back cover); traces of a central clasp and of 4+1 bosses on each cover, all metal-work lost; edges gilt, gauffered (worn). Rebacked, 18th century, Italian, with paste-downs and flyleaves of carta bassanese, for Jacopo Soranzo, with his spine-label. Cf. MS. Canon. Liturg. 33 and MS. Canon. Liturg. 219

Calendar suggests Padua
On fol. 13 is a coat of arms, possibly painted over a former coat of arms: parti per pale argent and azure, overall a pale dancetty gules . Underneath the shield, in a later hand (?): 'Rhegio–Marsilio'
Matteo Luigi Canonici (1727– c. 1806)
Following Canonici's death, the collection passed to his brother, Giuseppe Canonici, and then to Canonici's nephew, Giovanni Perissinotti, in 1807 following Giuseppe Canonici's death
