Binding

15th century, Italian (as MS.): wood boards; hard red polished leather, cuir ciselé, each cover incised with a different section of the same bold repeating pattern, of flowers and leaves set in a large vase (back cover); traces of a central clasp and of 4+1 bosses on each cover, all metal-work lost; edges gilt, gauffered (worn). Rebacked, 18th century, Italian, with paste-downs and flyleaves of carta bassanese, for Jacopo Soranzo, with his spine-label. 110–112 77–78 c. 46 (book closed). Cf. MSS. Canon. Liturg. 33 and 219.

The Calendar points to Padua (on Nov. 7 st. Prosdocimus, who also occurs in the Litany at fol. 136v). On fol. 13 is a coat of arms:--party per pale argent and azure, over all a pale dancetty gules.
