Custodial history
The binding of MS. Eng. misc. d. 26 bears the letters 'R. T.', possibly 'R. I.', conjoined, and the volume was presented to the Bodleian by C. E. Doble, M.A., whose bookplate it bears, on Dec. 21, 1896. MS. Eng. misc. d. 27 was no. 9405 in the Phillipps Library, having been bought in 1836 from Thomas Thorpe (Catal. of MSS. 1836, no. 816). In the Phillipps sale on March 23, 1895 (lot 607), it was bought by C. E. Stewart (see fols. ii-v).
