Summary
The collections appear to have been made between the years 1624 and 1640. They commence with:
(fol. 39) the Hundred Rolls, 7 Edw. I., followed by the names of the Leicestershire knights slain or taken at the battle of Evesham;
(fol. 40) a list of the knights in the county in the time of Edw. II., with their arms;
(fol. 52) alphabetical list of holders of land by different tenures in the time of James I.;
(fol. 57) escheats in Leicestershire and Warwickshire, tempp. Hen. VII.–VIII.;
(fol. 64) "amerciamenta eorum qui tenent de domino rege, ut de honore Leicest., parcella ducatu Lancastrian;"
(fol. 70) will of Wulfric, founder of the monastery of Burton-upon-Trent, in Anglo-Saxon.
The rest of the volume (commencing at fol. 65) is occupied with extracts from deeds and charters respecting the villages and hamlets of the county, alphabetically arranged, from A. to P., ending with the village of Peckleton.
