(fols. 1v-5r) part of an early draft of the poem 'on Juan declaims' ('Don Juan from the Shadows') first published in the English Review, no. 34, Sep 1911; see Sherwood, pp. 117-118, 128

(fols. 6-7r) a copy of an unpublished poem 'We are young British Liberals…', see Sherwood, p. 123

(fols. 7v-19v) lists of poems to be submitted to magazines for publication

(fols. 8-9r) notes for Act I of Don Juan

(fols. 11-16r) a fair copy of an essay 'They who write great books'

(fols. 16v-19r) a draft and fair copy of the poem 'A sacred incident', first published in the Nation, 24 Dec 1910

(fols. 28-29r) an amended copy of a poem 'In Phaeacia'

(fols. 30v-35r) drafts and amended copies of verses from 'Gates of Damascus' in its early form

(fol. 35v) a note, 'Plot of Novel', referring to The King of Alsander

(fols. 69v-70r) an amended copy of the poem 'Areiya'.

Fols. 1v-5r, 16v-19r, 28-29r, 30v-35r, 69v-70r were first collected in The Golden Journey to Samarkand.

Fols. 39-68 are blank.
