Fols. 40-63: Charles Temple's scheme for amalgamation, with a map, 1912-1913.
Fols. 64-77: Telegrams, speeches and plans for the inauguration of the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria on 1 January, 1914.
Fols. 78-112: Correspondence and other papers, 1914, concerning education policy, including a directive from Lugard to the Director of Education, Northern Provinces, 11 Jan, enclosing letters from the Church Missionary Society and the Sudan United Missions, a despatch to the Colonial Office of 7 Nov, with a printed paper, "Education in the Colony and Southern Provinces of Nigeria". Also attached are the Education Ordinance, 1914, and the Grant Code Regulations.
