William Squyer , perhaps the Somerset priest, fl. 1490s-1536; in the margin of fol. 11r is written 'Squyer' in a 15th/16th-century hand.
'Honest' Tom Martin of Palgrave (who notes on a paper label attached to the upper pastedown that 'Upon the cover ... was written "Iste liber constat Willelmo Squyer"'); there are traces of a rectangular paper label in the top left corner of the upper board, which seems to have been inscribed '451' (indistinct).
