Letters to J.R. Sterndale Bennett pasted into a volume referenced 'D' on the spine. There is a typewritten index on the upper paste-down, together with an 'Indenture' regarding W. Sterndale Bennett's copyrights (at front) and an 'Account of the Estate of Sir William Sterndale Bennett deceased' (at back). The correspondents include: Broadwood (piano manufacturer), the Leipzig Gewandhaus and the Royal Society of Musicians. Also present are J.R. Sterndale Bennett's passport, Hubert Parry's 'Ditty' and programmes for various events, mainly musical.
