Original(?) sewing on three split straps, entering channels in the outer faces of the Original(?) wood boards, and fixed with nails; covered in 18th(?)-century brown leather; the spine inscribed 'Expositio | Vet. Testa(m).', and with a square paper label inscribed '20'

The Cistercian monastery of Morimondo, Pavia (?), as suggested by the text, binding, and later provenance
Paolo Giovio (?) (1483–1552)
Fol. i recto, formerly the pastedown, inscribed with a shelfmark(?) 'A2' in an 18th-century Italian hand.
