The volume is described in an old lettering on the binding as being the "Negotiations of sir Thos. Clifford;" but at pp. 171 et seqq. the writer makes mention of his friend sir T. Clifford, while slightly varying copies of two letters at pp. 152–153, dated 24 and 25 Jul 1665, occur under sir G. Talbot's name in MS. Rawl. A. 256, fols. 1, 2.
