Summary
(a) (fols. 1-39) G. F. Handel: 10 arias from Riccardo [HWV 23, nos. 3, 5, 14, 11, 15, 16, 18, 24, 30, 37]. Singers named: Faustina (Pulcheria), Senesino (Riccardo) and Cuzzoni (Costanza).
(b) (fols. 40-42) 'Dolce riso dolci squardi', from Admeto [HWV 22/18c]. An 'additional song' sung by Mrs. Wright in the 1728 version of 'Admeto re di Tessaglia'. Copied by the same hand as (a).
(c) (fols. 43-54) 3 cantatas: 'O lucenti o sereni occhi' [HWV 144]; 'Occhi miei che faceste' [HWV 146]; and 'Del bell'idolo mio' [HWV 104].
(d) (fols. 55-61) J. A. Hasse: 'Concerto a 5' in G for flute, violins and bass. Autograph (see notes in an 18th-century hand on fols. 56v and 59); incomplete set of parts, lacking flute [? and bass]. The parts are written straight across folded sheets, i.e. in the order fols. 55v, 56; 57v, 58, 58v, 57; and 59v, 60, 60v, 59 respectively.
(e) (fols. 62-63) J. Haydn: Maestoso and Fugue, in B flat. A keyboard arrangement of the aria 'Ewiger mächtiger gütiger Gott' from Die Jahreszeiten, [Hob. XXI:3/5c].
(f) (fols. 64-65v) G. B. Pergolesi: Organ part of the 'Gratias agimus tibi' and 'Cum sancto spiritu' from the Mass in D major [Paymer 46], printed in Opera Omnia, Rome, 1940-1942, vol. 15, pp. 32-5 and 61-74, copied by and signed at end: 'W. Russell, Oct. 26, 1798' [William Russell (1777-1813)].
