Summary

In the handwriting of Hilkiah Bedford, who was imprisoned in 1714 as the supposed author of Harbin's Hereditary Right.

Followed (fols. 15–35) by a rough draught of the tract, to which a note of the author's at the beginning of the volume refers, which states that the latter part was "written two or three years after the first, so that as to point of time it is not all of a piece."

Two envelopes of letters addressed to Dr. Hickes "at his house in Ormond Street, near Lamb's Conduit Fields;" one addressed to "Mrs. Marshal, at the Yellow Ball, Mill-bank, near the Earle of Peterborough's house;" one to "— Shuttleworth's att Woolverton neare Baiseingstook in Hampsheere;" and one to "The Rev. Mr. Bedford at his house in College Street, Westminster," are among the sheets bound up in the volume.
