Includes notebook 'FitzGeralds of Shalston', 1890; notes on the history of the FitzGerald family in Jamaica [Edward FitzGerald]; pages from 16th and 17th century documents with transcripts [Anne FitzGerald, Mary FitzGerald]; newspaper cuttings [Gerald FitzGerald, Edward FitzGerald (poet and translator), G.J. FitzGerald, Angela Mary FitzGerald].
Folder 2: FitzGerald, Purefoy FitzGerald. Papers relating to military appointments, 1857-1888, and n.d., mainly to Richard Purefoy FitzGerald and command of the Naval Brigade in India, c. 1858; also certificates of the Militia Templi, 1888.
Folder 3: Jervoise, Purefoy Jervoise. Includes annotated 18th and 19th century documents, some with transcripts; copy of Jervoise family epitaphs at Britford Church; photographs of family portraits; articles etc. [E. Jervoise, Francis Henry Tristram Jervoise].
Folder 4: Purefoy. Includes typescript 'Some Particulars of the Purefoy Family'; notes on the family mottoes, coats of arms, descent of the family; family history notes and transcripts of documents [William Purefoy, Philip Purefoy]; articles and notes relating to the history of Shalstone and Shalstone Manor, including a series of articles 'The Purefoys at Home' from The Times 17-19 August 1931; brochure 'An Appeal for the Purefoy Memorial in Tewkesbury Abbey', [1960s].
Folder 5: Purefoy. 'A Chartulary of all the writings relating to the Estate of the Purefoys which were found at Wadley or discovered elsewhere at or before this 23d of December 1687', register of documents, probably relating to the recovery of the estate of William Purefoy during the Restoration.
