(fols. 1-7) 4 letters, 1893-1895?, from Miss Mounsey to Marie Benecke, with the drafted answer to the first. Upright.

(fols. 10-11) Elizabeth Mounsey's account of her acquaintance with F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Upright.

(fols. 14-17) F. G. Edwards, 'Memorandum accompanying the MS. of Mendelssohn's ... "Elijah",' MS. M. Deneke Mendelssohn c. 39. Upright.

(fols. 45-46) An early version of Elijah, no. 23, bars 47-end, 'Be not afraid.' Autograph. Paper cut, no watermark visible. 18 staves to a page. Upright.

(fols. 48-49) Copy by Henschke of the aria 'Is not his word like a fire.' English words written by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Upright.

(fol. 50) Copy by Elizabeth Mounsey of the chorale 'Wir glauben all' an einen Gott.' (See fol. 80v). Upright.

(fols. 51-61) Printed programme of the Elijah, Birmingham, 26 Aug 1846. Upright.

(fols. 71-77) William Bartholomew's copy, ca. 1853, of the vocal score of the unpublished Credo, 'Wir glauben all', composed in Rome, 1831, MS. Thematic Catalogue, p. 34. The original manuscript was sent by Paul Mendelssohn Bartholdy to Samuel Smith of Bradford, 1853, to whom Bartholomew returned it, having translated the words into English. Oblong.

(fols. 83-85) Elizabeth Mounsey's copy of an unpublished piece, 'Nachspiel' for the organ, composed in Rome, 1831, MS. Thematic Catalogue, p. 34. Sent to Bartholomew by Paul Mendelssohn Bartholdy with 8. A letter about these two pieces from Elizabeth Mounsey to P.V.M. Benecke, 22. Aug 1895, is on fols. 80-81. Oblong.
