Summary
'An Interpretation of Villare Anglicanum' (an old list of places in England) by John Aubrey, an incomplete work consisting of a preface and a list of place-names with occasional notes of their meaning. Meredith Lloyd, a chemist, supplied a list of Welsh words in 1675 (fol. 4) and Edward Lhuyd a Welsh glossary in 1689 (fol. 6).
At fols. 96, 107 are printed lists forming a 'Villare Scoticum' and 'Villare Hibernicum'. There are also a letter from Aubrey to E. Lhuyd, Apr. 21, 1691 (fol. 2), Aubrey's epitaph written by himself (fol. 122), and an autograph list of his works, Nov. 18, 1692 (fol. 123v).
