Initial. The title page with a large capital A in red and blue

Miniatures, historiated initials, added 15th-16th centuries, fols. 97v, 98r, 103v. Under the formula of the Pax (fol. 103v) a Holy Face.

Miniatures, historiated initials, added 15th-16th centuries, fols. 97v, 98r, 103v. In the Canon two rudely painted crucifixions (fol. 97v, 98).

Musical notation

Adiastematic, non-rhythmical neums, in the added prefaces (fol. 93v) Gothic notation on staves of 4 lines (3 black, 1 red).

Acquisition

Part of his third donation to the Bodleian, sent 28 June 1639.

Provenance

For possible origin at St Amarin see fol. 153. The collegiate church of St. Amarin was dedicated to Sts. Preiecher and Amarinus; see also the addition on fol. 167v (Strasbourg).

William Laud; acquired by 1637.
