Summary
Chiefly French, some Italian, one (fol. 38) Spanish. These are on 49 leaves, here mounted. On fol. 24 is a monogram composed of some such letters as SHVGVZERBO (or Q). Each leaf has a border of figures drawn as a specimen of penmanship.
The binding (' ... by C. Hering') bears the arms, crest, and motto of George Spencer-Churchill, duke of Marlborough (d. 1840).
