1 (fol. 1). Extracts from:

A chartulary of Welbeck in the custody of Robert Pierrepont, first earl of Kingston, Sept. 28, 1631, including notes from a 'liber memorandorum scriptus a fratre Johanne de Whytan anno domini 1356' (fol. 5)

Fol. 91v. the register of Shrewsbury abbey, Oct. 7, 1631, 'penes Henricum Spelman, ut putatur; transcriptum in custodia Mr Hacknes of Lincoln's Inn', with a marginal note, 'I have seen the booke in sir Richard Leveson's hand of Trentham, co. Staff, 1638'. This register, for which see Coll. Top. et Gen. i. 23, was later in the possession of sir Thomas Phillipps
