MS. Darlington c. 43/E.170
Summary
Darlington was invited by the Rationalist Press Association to write an introduction to a reprint of the 6th edition, but suggested instead that the 1st edition should be re-published (for the first time); he also obtained from Lady Barlow, Darwin's granddaughter, the loan of her copy and permission to use some material in facsimile.
Comprises manuscript drafts and notes for introduction, 1946-1947; separate two page note on 'The integration of species' and a later press notice, 1952.
